248 Impact Sliding Glass Door

This impact. resistant sliding glass door combines heavy duty
aluminum frames with impact resistant laminated glass. This
glass may crack on impact. but the inner layer keeps the glass
intact, preventing destructive wind from entering your home.

General Specifications

General:
Door shall be designed and manufactured to meet residential
applications poi Dade product approval.

Materials:
All frame and sash members shall be extruded 6063-T6 aluminum
alloy. Frame members shall have a minimum depth of 5". Panel
members shall have a minimum depth of 1" (Available in White,
Bronze or Anodized Finish)

Construction:
Frame members shall be field assembled with stainless steel screws.
Panel horizontal members telescope into vertical members and are coped
and assembled with stainless steel screws.

Hardware:
(Available in Chrome) Panels shall have (2) stainless steel ball
bearing adjustable toilers at bottom. Active panel shall have a
chrome interior and exterior recessed handle.                                           

Glazing:
Panels shall be factory glazed with structural silicone and 7/16"
laminated glass. (Available in Clear, Obscure. Green. Grey or Bronze Tint)

Weatherstripping:
An interior vinyl flap and exterior wool pile shall be used at each
frame jamb. All panels shall be weatherstripped with vinyl flap at top
and bottom rails.

Insect Screen:
Frame shall be extruded aluminum sections, 1" deep with a 18 x 16
fiberglass mesh. Horizontal members telescope into vertical members
and are assembled with stainless steel screws.  Screen shall have
(2) stainless steel ball bearing adjustable rollers at bottom rail
and two spring nylon rollers at top rail. Screen will have interior
and exterior chrome handle with interior night latch.

*All 4 panel configurations require a 2 x 6 fixed mull in the middle
 of active panels
