Hurricane Panels

Maximum impact hard metal panels are lighter and stronger than panels made of heavier and softer metals. The lighter a panel is the easier it is to install and that is the reasoning behind the redesigned, retooled and re-tested panels we provide our clients. Thes panels are available in .50 and .60 aluminum, 20 gauge galnanized steel, and aluminum framed polycarbonatel.
Many experts say that protecting window and door openings is the single most important step you can take to protect your loved ones and your property during a hurricane. That is precisely what all hurricane shutter products are designed to do. During a "category five hurricane", sustained winds reach speeds of 155 m.p.h., however gusts of wind may reach 200 m.p.h. and over. Wind conditions this fierce can cause anything that is not sufficiently secured to become airborne .. loose roofing materials, trees, signs, pottery, possibly a neighboring home blown apart by the hurricane. The impact of this flying debris can destroy a window or a door and cause a breach in the building exterior. This allows hurricane-force winds to enter the building. Within seconds a build-up of internal pressure virtually blows the roof off and the windows out.
